Funko has created the ever popular Pop! figures in more characters than we can even begin to name, and we’ve seen some pretty impressive collections over the years, but there is more to this company that makes it feel like a community for collectors across all genres.
Funko is a company that gives back...a lot. Since 2017 they have donated over $2 million in products, resources, and financial support to several not-for-profit organizations such as Operation Homefront, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation (Alaska and Washington), and others.
Each month, Funko will feature a “Funatic of the Month” on their blog. The “Funko Family” is full of “Funatics” who love to show off their collections. The blog gives Funatics the chance to tell their Funko stories and preferences, and to show off creative photography of their Pops! All you have to do is tag @OriginalFunko on Instagram or Twitter with a picture of your collection and use their hashtag #FunaticOfTheMonth. Good luck!
Funko Friendly Packaging
Pop! figures are meant to be enjoyed. That’s why Funko doesn’t put stickers on the boxes to seal them. Even if you are a die-hard collector that cringes at the thought of de-boxing, rest assured that you can give your Pop! a little love and a quick photography session without ever damaging the packaging.
Build the Collection
Another part of the Funko community involves reselling to keep the collections growing. Funko provides a Reseller Portal directly on their website so you know you’re getting the real deal. All you have to do is email sales@funko.com to get started as a retailer.
Get Your Funko On!
While Funko has only a few brick-and-mortar stores, they work with several third party sellers. Kryptonite Character Store is a proud carrier of Funko Pop! With new items being stocked all the time, you'll want to visit the website or store at The Island in Pigeon Forge often. Get your Funko on and start browsing here!
