We don't know when Rick and Morty Season 4 will arrive but we do know what characters from Season 3 we'd like to see.
It's a tradition unlike any other. Every year (or every couple of years as it's turned out) there is a new season of Rick and Morty. And for every season, there is a collection of characters from the previous season who we want to see return. Rick and Morty Season 4 will be no exception.
Our character requests for Rick and Morty Season 3 didn't do so hot. Only Mr. Poopy Butthole made a very brief return. That's pretty much in line with our expectations from Rick and Morty Season 2 though - in which Squanch briefly turned up.
Still, one fun recurring character per season is an entirely reasonable goal to set. So with that in mind, here are candidates from Rick and Morty Season 3 that we'd most like to see in Rick and Morty Season 4.
Lawyer Morty
We heard you like Pogs. Look at the little guy! Look at him go! Lawyer Morty is one of the most irrepressible sources of joy and goodness in the Rick and Morty universe. First introduced at the Citadel of Ricks, all this little dude wants to do is play with his Pogs and hopelessly mangle the law.
Jaguar
One of the many interesting characters introduced in "Pickle Rick," Jaguar is an incredibly dangerous assassin who just wants to get his daughter back. It's no wonder that he and Rick get along. Jaguar is voiced by Danny Trejo - because duh.
Dr. Wong
One can argue that Dr. Wong is the most powerful person in the Rick and Morty multi-verse. Rick certainly fancies himself the most important and intelligent being in existence, so it must take someone even more special to break down the inner-workings of his mind. That's exactly what unassuming family therapist Dr. Wong (played by Susan Sarandon) did within minutes of Rick Sanchez.
Noob-Noob
Who is Noob-Noob you ask? Well, Noob-Noob is Rick Sanchez's best friend - or at least Rick's best friend when he's blacked out drunk. Noob-Noob is the janitorial helper for superhero superteam The Vindicators. Noob-Noob wants to help in their world-saving efforts but more often than not, there is a mess to be cleaned up. Fans also speculate that Noob-Noob is the same species as Mr. Poopy Butthole.
Truth Tortoise
The Truth Tortoise got incredibly little screentime in his appearance at the beginning of "Morty's Mind Blowers," but oh boy did the little baleful reptile make an impact. TT told poor Morty a truth he wasn't prepared to hear (that he is actually a Beatle and Paul McCartney is dead). Rick and Morty Season 4 has to be able to find some use for the truth.
Kiara
Kiara is a perfect one-off character. She represents the ultimate "rebound" girlfriend. She's approximately 7-feet tall, absurdly athletic and shredded, and also just happens to have three boobs. By dating her, Jerry Smith is making it absolutely clear that he is desperately trying to make his wife jealous. But in Rick and Morty Season 4, we're sure that she can find deeper meaning and purpose. Honestly, this character design is just really cool. She kind of looks like Magic: the Gathering planeswalker Kiora.
The President
The Rick and Morty Season 3 finale wasn't the satisfying conclusion to all the seasons' various threads that fans were hoping for. That doesn't mean it was bad, however. And a large reason why is Keith David's performance as the unnamed President of the United States. The President has popped up on Rick and Morty before but it wasn't clear until the season 3 finale just how much shared history he had with Rick Sanchez and how much animosity the two men had for each other. Rick v. The President has the potential to be one of the show's goofiest running gags. And that's saying a lot on this show.
